Aug 18th - Aug 20th 2004From Vietnam to Bangkok...quite a transition. The city bustles with energy and commerce, and there are plenty of sites to see. Our first afternoon we enjoyed a boat ride up the river, and were promptly caught in a doozy of a rainstorm. The following morning we partcipiated in a DVC (Digital Video Conference) with American Cornerns with students & faculty in Kohn Kaen, Chiang Mai, and Pattani. In the room with were also about 30 music students from Chulalongkorn University.
In the evening we had our first Thailand concert at the Amassador Johnson's residence, where he joined for a nice rendition of "Stormy Weather". On Friday we traveled to Mahidol University to meet with a talented group of students and hold another clinic.
